Community involvement and sponsorship

Six young girls sitting around a table and look at computers in a school builing in Mavuno, Tanzania

We are driven by our purpose to make a positive impact on society and our company. By partnership, education and volunteering we make communities stronger and fairer.

Community involvement projects should be viewed as investments, with contracts, clear target groups and objectives, and measurable results. We will not engage in activities that conflict in any way with our Code of Conduct, political or religious organizations, or projects that may be viewed as hazardous to health or the environment.

Three focus areas

Our platform for projects in community involvement and sponsorship includes three focus areas:

  • The sustainability shift

We focus on projects that aim to:

    • Support action on climate change
    • Advance solutions for resource and waste challenges
    • Contribute to clean and sustainable development of communities

Examples of activities in which we can engage:

    • Enabling a community to implement clean water solutions
    • Supporting a community with nature-based solutions to climate change, e.g. tree planting
    • Helping a community develop innovative ways to reuse for waste materials
  • The digital shift

We focus on projects that aim to:

    • Build technical and digital skills for new ways of working
    • Support innovation and new ideas that help the world advance

  • The societal impact

We focus on projects that aim to:
