Sandvik launches green fire suppressant

Unlike conventional fire suppressant foams that can remain in the environment for thousands of years after discharge, Sandvik Fire Suppression's launch of Eclipse, the world's first fluorine-free fire suppression foam for mobile equipment that rapidly biodegrades.

"The foam is superior to fluorine-based foams with faster knockdown while still maintaining post-fire protection – making it more efficient at putting out fires," says Michael Sargaison, Sandvik Fire Suppression.
