The challenge is to develop our ability to manufacture specialized products. They are mainly produced in our own units, which we consider a guarantee for high quality and cost efficiency.

Could you please describe your career path at Sandvik?
Having worked at Sandvik for just over three years, I have had the privilege of operating between two and three machines, playing a key role in production during this period. I have learned a great deal and the challenges are enormous.
In terms of my career development, I am moving toward friction welding and I have completed several training programs to improve my skills in this area, most recently a five-day course in robot control.
Tell us about your current position.
I currently work as an operator in a welding work flow. The job is extremely interesting because each weld presents a unique challenge. We weld components to steel rods using friction welding.
What is the best part of your job?
The best part of my job is to know that at the end of each day a new batch of quality products has been manufactured. This represents a highly satisfying moment for me.
