How did you get in contact with Sandvik?
Sandvik is an obvious choice after studying mechanical engineering as I did. Actually Sandvik was also sponsoring the student hockey team I was a part of up in Luleå and I was lucky to get a chance to do my masters thesis for Sandvik Materials Technology/ Wire in 2004. So far I feel very fortunate working for Sandvik.
Could you briefly describe your current role?
Working in a matrix organization you sometimes need 3D-goggles to understand how everything is tied together. A lot in this role has to do with making sure the market has the right information and tools to execute the strategy decided for a product area.
What can employees expect from the company?
As a new employee I was impressed by the company and the culture. By that I mean that you can always say what is on your mind and the honesty is appreciated. This is one key thing that makes working for this company great. One thing a new employee can be sure of is that the variety of different jobs is very wide and you can always develop within the company.
