The position is in Sandvik’s Turku site which is the cutting-edge product development and manufacturing center for our Load and Haul equipment. Our mission is to advance the world through engineering. Do you share our mission?

In this role, you’ll dive headfirst into the electrifying world of electric and battery-powered vehicles. You’ll have the chance to work partially remotely, however occasional travel and presence is required in our division headquarters in Turku. Meet the Fluid Power Team

  • The Fluid Power team serves as a dedicated technology team specializing in underground loaders and trucks.
  • Our core focus lies in two critical areas: hydraulics and cooling system design for these robust machines.
  • We actively engage in the development and continuous support of machine technologies throughout their entire lifecycle.

Your primary areas of responsibility.

  • Your role involves designing hydraulic systems for underground loaders and actively participating in machine projects and subsystems projects.
  • You are responsible for the hydraulic system module(s) and coordinate development work with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Together with the other technology and product teams you have responsibility for the design and analysis of the necessary measurements.
  • Working in close cooperation with our component suppliers.
  • Support our production and test run regarding hydraulics related matters.
  • Independently performing measurements and adjustments, and you provide guidance to others in your areas of expertise.
  • Position includes occasional project related travel, typically planned well in advance.

Your background and what we find important

  • You should hold a relevant degree (B.Sc. or M.Sc.) in the field of engineering.
  • Knowledge of mobile equipment hydraulics systems design and diagram drawing.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic system controls and simulations would be advantageous.
  • Fluent communication skills both in Finnish and English.
  • Proactive and systematic way of working and excellent skills in problem-solving will be needed.
  • You should naturally thrive as a team player in a multicultural and international environment.
